Welcome to Scouts BSA Troops 16 and 1016 — Serving Scranton’s Youth Through Adventure, Leadership, and Service

Troop 16, proudly serving the Scranton, PA community since 1915, carries more than a century of tradition, character, and outdoor adventure as a boys’ troop with deep roots and a strong legacy. Troop 1016, established in 2020, brings that same spirit to a thriving girls’ troop, offering young women the opportunity to grow, lead, and explore the outdoors with confidence and camaraderie.

Together, these two units embody the best of Scouting America — a movement built on values like leadership, service, integrity, and respect. Our Scouts learn by doing: hiking the trails of Pennsylvania, camping under star-filled skies, cooking over open fires, mastering outdoor skills, and discovering the strength that comes from teamwork and perseverance.
